Andrea G. Alpern is a family mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court. She is also certified as a circuit civil and county court mediator. In addition, she is an attorney and has an M.B.A. in Finance.

Andrea works primarily as a family mediator. She has helped hundreds of couples settle their divorce case without expensive, time consuming and emotionally exhausting litigation. Acting as a neutral third party, she offers divorcing parties an informal, non-adversarial, and private mediation process. She facilitates constructive communication and helps the parties to identify issues and explore alternatives that may lead to a mutually acceptable agreement. Andrea appreciates that mediation, unlike litigation, is rooted in the self-determination of the parties who retain full decision-making authority.

Andrea is available to mediate all types of family law matters (including divorce, equitable property distribution, alimony, child custody, child support, relocation and post judgment modifications). These matters may be mediated before or after an action is filed with the court. Many of the family cases which Andrea mediates are "pro se". In a pro se divorce case, neither party is represented by an attorney, although both parties may seek legal advice before mediation or may have a mediation agreement reviewed by an attorney prior to signing.
